MRP 7a/4a Crank Sprocket Timing Modification

This modification is needed when installing a 4age head onto a 7a bottom end to effectively make a 7ag.
Without this modification the timing of the crank to the cams will be out approx 10 deg, therefore not ideal for performance.
Our Crank sprocket modification brings the timing back to where it should be.
7ag conversions will need to be using the 4ag oil pump and timing setup.

People in the past have used cam gears, but this will mean the cam gear markings are always offset.
20v conversions can’t use cam gears unless you loose the VVT function. Cam gears of course will cost more.

There are 3 options to choose from:

1. Brand new Toyota OEM 16v/20v Silvertop Crank sprocket with new offset keyway machined.
2. Brand new Toyota OEM 20v Blacktop Crank sprocket with new offset keyway machined. *
3. Send us your crank sprocket and we can machine this for you.

* Option 2 for people who will be running the Blacktop Crank pulley. Blacktop Crank pulleys have a different offset height to the others, therefore the sprocket is wider in width.

$45 is to re-cut your current sprocket if you send it to us.
$90 is for a brand new OEM sprocket + $45 for the cutting fee
